A LETTER FOR YOUR TWENTY-FIFTHMy dearest Lala,
I know twenty-five can feel like a big number. Like you’re supposed to have a map by now. Like the world is quietly asking, “Have you figured it out yet?”
But my love, there is no deadline for becoming yourself.
You’re allowed to be excited and scared. To change your mind. To start over. To take your time. You don’t have to turn into a different person just because the number changes.
You are not falling behind.
You are still unfolding.
And through all of it, you have me. On the days you feel unstoppable, and the days getting out of bed is enough. For the big dreams, the little worries, and all the ordinary Tuesdays in between.
I can’t promise we’ll have every answer. But I can promise you won’t have to face the questions alone.
So here’s to twenty-five. To more laughter. More little adventures. More of you being beautifully, imperfectly you.
Happy birthday, Lala. I’m so glad I get to be here.
Always, me
P.S. I’d choose you in every chapter.
